1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Ori Kahalon ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use SugarDrop. We collect only what we need and never sell your personal data to third parties.

2. Information We Collect

When you use SugarDrop we may collect the following:

Your onboarding answers including your goals, symptoms, and sugar habits. Your account information including your email address. Your display name which is visible to connected buddies. Your sugar-free streak count and history. Craving events including when you used the SOS button and whether cravings were beaten. Your sugar avoided totals calculated from your streak. Your device type and OS version used for fraud prevention in the buddy system. Your push notification token used to send craving alerts and buddy notifications.

If you use the Label Decoder or Sugar Scanner, the App accesses your camera to capture food label images. These images are sent to Google Vision API for text recognition only. We do not store the photos themselves.

We do not collect your location, your contacts, your payment information (all billing is handled by Apple), or any biometric data.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide and improve the App's core features, track your sugar-free streak and progress, connect you with accountability buddies, send you push notifications about cravings, streaks, and buddy activity, prevent fraud in the referral and buddy system, and analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve the App.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers using industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days except where required by law. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, however no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

5. Third-Party Services

SugarDrop uses the following third-party services:

Supabase stores your streak, craving data, and account information. RevenueCat manages your subscription status. Apple App Store processes all payments and we never see your payment details. Google Vision API processes food label images for the Label Decoder feature. Open Food Facts provides food product sugar data without receiving your personal information. Expo delivers push notifications to your device.
